FOR TEACHERS
1 Sign In
- Open your browser and go to: https://numbersense.guru/teacher
- Enter the email address and password given to you by your school administrator.
- Click Sign In. You will go straight to your Teacher Dashboard.
No Replit account needed. Your account is created by your school admin โ there is nothing to verify or set up.
2 Create a Classroom
- On your dashboard, click + New Classroom (top right).
- Fill in:
- Classroom Name โ e.g., Grade 4 โ Section Sampaguita
- Grade Level โ select the grade of your students
- School Year โ e.g., 2026โ2027
- Click Create. Your new classroom appears in the list on the left.
3 Get Your Join Code
- Click your classroom name in the list.
- Look for the Join Code โ a short code like
ABC123.
- Share this code with your students. They need it to connect to your classroom.
If you ever need a new code (e.g., it was shared too widely), click Regenerate Code.
4 Monitor Student Progress
Once students join your classroom, you can:
- View all students and their activity levels
- See Analytics โ average scores, time spent, mastery by topic
- Open individual student reports โ full diagnostic results and practice history
- Download a progress report as a CSV: open a classroom โ click the Analytics tab โ click Export Progress Report (great for parent conferences)
5 Create Assignments
- Select your classroom, then go to the Assignments tab.
- Click + New Assignment.
- Fill in the title, instructions, topic, grade level, and due date.
- Click Create. Students will see the assignment in their app.
Good to know: Teacher-assigned work bypasses the free-tier daily limit, so students can always complete what you give them โ even on free accounts.
6 Sign Out
Click Sign Out (top right of your dashboard) when you are done.
FOR STUDENTS
1 Open the App
Go to: https://numbersense.guru
Use any device โ phone, tablet, or computer. No download needed.
2 Create Your Profile
- Type a username โ for example your first name + a number (maria24) or a nickname. Your teacher will see this name, so pick something they can recognize.
- Pick your avatar (a fun character that represents you).
- Optional: add your parent's email so they can see your progress.
- Click Start Learning.
If the username is taken, try a different one (e.g., add a number). The app remembers you on this device. If you log out or move to another device, sign back in with your account email on the home page.
3 Join Your Teacher's Classroom
- On your dashboard, click Join Classroom.
- Type the Join Code your teacher gave you (e.g.,
ABC123).
- Click Join. You are now connected to your teacher's classroom.
4 Take the Diagnostic Assessment
When you first log in, the app will suggest a Diagnostic Assessment.
- It is a short set of math questions to find out what you already know.
- It is not a test โ there are no failing grades.
- The results help the app give you the right level of practice.
Click Start Diagnostic and answer honestly. Use the Hint button if you are stuck.
5 Practice Every Day
After your diagnostic, go to Practice on your dashboard.
- The app picks problems matched to your level โ not too easy, not too hard.
- Use the Hint button (up to 3 hints per problem) if you need help.
- Daily practice grows your streak and earns you badges.
6 Ask the AI Math Tutor
Stuck on a topic? Click AI Tutor on your dashboard.
- Type your question in plain language โ e.g., "I don't understand how to add fractions."
- Get a step-by-step explanation written for your grade level.
- Free accounts can ask 5 questions per day.
7 Check Your Assignments
- Click Assignments on your dashboard.
- Open any assignment and click Start.
- Answer the questions and click Submit when done.
8 See Your Progress
Click your profile / dashboard to see:
- Your current level and mastery for each topic
- Your daily streak (days in a row you practiced)
- Badges and rewards you have earned
About Free vs Premium accounts
Free accounts can do 5 practice problems per day and ask the AI Math Tutor 5 times per day. After that you'll see a friendly upgrade prompt. Diagnostic questions and any assignments your teacher gives you are always free and unlimited.
